- Orders and Accounts. WooCommerce and Printify capture your name, email, billing and shipping addresses, phone, and payment method (payment details are processed by third-party gateways and are not stored on our servers).
- Newsletter and Contact Forms. We store the email address and message you submit.
- User Submissions. Story prompts, uploads, or hero-image feedback may contain personal information you voluntarily provide.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Log Data. Hosting providers (including S3/CloudFront and WordPress) log IP address, browser type, referring URLs, timestamps, and error traces.
- Cookies. We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics, personalization, and fraud prevention (see Section 4).
- Analytics. Google Analytics 4 captures page views, events, device information, and approximate location.
- Advertising. Google AdSense drops cookies or pixels to deliver contextual or personalized ads and limit frequency.

- Printify & WooCommerce. Provide order status, fulfillment events, and tracking numbers.
- Payment Processors. Supply transaction confirmations or fraud signals.
- Social Platforms. Aggregate analytics when you share our satire through social widgets.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Services, including guided ingestion workflows.
- Fulfill orders, communicate status, and resolve support requests.
- Monitor site performance, detect abuse, and secure infrastructure.
- Analyze story popularity to keep trending satire on the static build longer.
- Serve advertising, measure campaign performance, and comply with AdSense policies.
- Send newsletters or respond to submissions when you opt in.

We do not sell personal information. We may share it in the following situations:
- Vendors & Service Providers. Printify, WooCommerce, hosting providers, analytics vendors, email services, and professional advisors acting on our behalf.
- Advertising Partners. AdSense receives pseudonymous identifiers needed to display and measure ads.
- Legal Requirements. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect Spoofville, our users, or the public.
- Business Transfers. If we explore a merger, financing, or sale, data may be shared under confidentiality agreements.
4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

5. Data Retention
- Order records are retained as long as necessary to fulfill purchases and comply with tax and accounting rules.
- Analytics data follows Google Analytics retention windows (currently 14 months unless configured otherwise).
- Log files are typically retained up to 90 days unless needed for security investigations.
- Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
7. International Transfers
Spoofville is based in the United States. By using the Services you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries with different data-protection laws.
8. Your Choices & Rights
- Email Marketing. Use the unsubscribe link within our emails.
- Cookies & Ads. Adjust through the consent banner, browser controls, or Google Ads Settings.
- Access / Deletion. Request a copy or deletion of personal data by emailing privacy@spoofville.com. We may need to verify your identity and retain certain data for compliance.
- Do Not Track. Browsers' DNT signals are not currently supported because standards are unsettled.
9. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-Party Links
The Services may link to Printify, payment gateways, or other external sites. Their privacy practices are their own, so review their policies before sharing information.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Services after a change becomes effective signifies acceptance.
